Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The safari begins from Kampala at 7:00am from where you will embark on a 9 hour journey towards western Uganda to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will make a brief stopover at the Equator for photographs. You will make another stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre to share and learn about the Ankole culture and how it has evolved. Drive to Mbarara for lunch break at Agip Motel Mbarara. After lunch, proceed to Bwindi. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. Via the verdant countryside, you will pass through traditional homesteads and have panoramic views of the surroundings. You will arrive at the lodge in the evening in time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest
Begin the day with breakfast ready to take part in gorilla trekking, which begins at 8:00 a.m with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority staff on how best to enjoy tracking these endangered mountain gorillas. Remember to carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc. The guides will lead you inside the beautiful ecosystem to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the gorillas. Gorilla trekking may as well be one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on Earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. Overnight stay and dinner at your lodge.

Day 3: Bwindi – Kampala/Entebbe
After your early morning breakfast, you will embark on a 9 hour return journey back to Kampala. You may choose to drive back through Kasese – Fort Portal road for an opportunity to feel the other countryside of Uganda. You will make a stopover at a local hotel for lunch before returning to Kampala or Entebbe Airport arriving late in the evening.
