Day 1: Kampala – Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Our tour guide/driver will pick you up from your hotel or place of residence in Kampala and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park via the famous Luwero Triangle. You will make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to take part in rhino tracking. Then you will have lunch en route and proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the evening at the lodge in time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise to the Base of the Falls
You will begin your day with a cup of African Coffee and then cross the Nile by ferry to the northern bank of the park which is teeming with wildlife. Your guide will help you spot the wild animals including; elephants, lions, Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeest, waterbucks, oribi, bushbuck, hyenas and if you are lucky, leopards. You will then return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, go for a boat cruise upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the world famous Murchison Falls, stopping just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. En-route, marvel at a bunch of animals including; hippos, crocodiles, elephants, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs and a number of bird species such as; goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. You will then leave the boat and go on a quite heavy hike to the top of the falls. See where the world’s longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the rift valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. Your driver/guide will be waiting for you to bring you back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After your early morning breakfast, you will embark on an 8 hour journey to Kibale Forest National Park, the home chimpanzees. You will have lunch en route and proceed south via Hoima to Fort Portal through the verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments. You will arrive at the lodge in the afternoon, relax, have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will have an early morning breakfast and go to the park headquarters for briefing after which you will enter the forest to track the chimpanzees. Kibale Forest National Park is the best reserve in Africa to view chimpanzees in their natural habitat. You will return to the lodge for lunch and to freshen up and in the afternoon, you will drive to the south into Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy sightseeing and game viewing en route. You will arrive at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the evening, in time for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Ride on Kazinga Channel
Begin your day with a cup of coffee, after which you will go on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Animals you are likely to encounter include; elephants, buffaloes, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, take a two hour boat ride along the famous Kazinga Channel which also presents an opportunity to see hippos, buffaloes, kobs, elephants, warthogs as well as numerous species of birds. Return to the lodge, relax, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Kyambura Gorge Chimpanzee Tracking – Return to Kampala
Enjoy your early morning breakfast and visit Kyambura Gorge to track chimpanzees. After primate walk, get on the road back Kampala and make a stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch and to learn about the Ankole culture of western Uganda. Later continue via Masaka and make another stopover at the Equator crossing for photography and to buy souvenirs to take back home if you so wish, before heading back to Kampala or Entebbe to catch up with your flight back home or to your next destination.
