Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Depart Arusha – Tarangire National Park
This day, you depart from Arusha Town, the starting point for safaris in Northern Tanzania, and take a picturesque drive down the Arusha–Dodoma route in the direction of Tarangire National Park. After stopping at a store, if you’d like, to grab any last-minute necessities for your personal belongings, you’ll travel through the picturesque Masai Steppe and arrive at Tarangire in about two hours. After completing the necessary paperwork at the park entrance, your driver will take you on your first game drive in Tarangire National Park, which is well-known for its enormous herds of elephants and its scattered big baobab trees throughout the grasslands. After lunch at a designated picnic area, game drives will take place until dusk, when guests will check into a lodge or camp for the night.

Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
We leave early after breakfast from Tarangire National Park and travel to the Serengeti National Park via the Great Rift Valley floor, the escarpment, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This will ultimately prove to be a delightful and enjoyable scenic drive as you take in the stunning scenery and amazing vistas. After arriving in the Serengeti in the afternoon, go on a game drive until the late afternoon till checking into a camp or lodge for dinner, a campfire, and an overnight stay. Lunch is served at one of the picnic spots, perhaps the Naabi Hill Gate, where you can also catch some fresh air and stretch your legs while your guide takes care of the necessary documentation.

Day 3: Full Day at Serengeti National Park.
You can try to see both the early risers among the diurnal animals and the unusual nocturnal species by getting up early on this day for a dawn game drive. Since most game lines up by the sides of the road to avoid the morning dew, it’s a good time to watch animals up close. You will begin the day with breakfast at your camp and then drive across the Serengeti National Park on wildlife drives. As the name suggests, you will explore huge lengths of African Savannah in pursuit of the various wildlife that the Serengeti has to offer. The word “Serengeti” derives from the Maasai word “Siringit,” which means plains without end. Other creatures you might see in addition to the wildebeests are elephants, lions, cheetahs, elusive leopards, zebras, elands, and a variety of resident and migratory birds.

Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater.
After breakfast at your camp or lodge, we check out and go on one more Serengeti game drive. Under the direction of your knowledgeable safari guide, you will explore the Seronera River Valley, which is home to a variety of species and birds, as well as other areas of the Serengeti. As usual, your safari guide will be in continuous communication with other guides via the VHF high-frequency radios installed in our safari vehicles, giving him a greater understanding of the most interesting locations to visit. You will return by car to the Ngorongoro Conservation area later in the afternoon, where you will check into a lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 5: Return to Arusha – Departure.
After breakfast at your lodge, you will head early into the Ngorongoro Crater for wildlife drives. In order to arrive at the Crater floor as early as possible and increase your chances of perhaps seeing rare creatures like Black Rhinos, you can descend after breakfast or even bring a packed breakfast with you. Explore the Ngorongoro Crater for the most of the morning till lunchtime. With cliffs that rise to a height of 600 to 650 metres, Ngorongoro Crater is like a natural zoo with the biggest concentration of wild animals. If you’re lucky, you can even spot the Big Five here in a single day. You will drive up the Crater rim and out of the Conservation area after eating a picnic lunch, which you will probably take at the designated picnic place next to the hippo pool. Later in the afternoon, you will make your way back to Arusha.
