From the red dust savannah of Tsavo East to the verdant oases of Tsavo West, and culminating in the picture-perfect sight of the recognisable Mt. Kilimanjaro, this Classic Parks Safari has it all. You will travel across expansive stretches of land that are home to a striking diversity of animals while on this safari itinerary. Tales of man-eating lions from the past and current sightings of giraffe, impala, buffalo, and leopards abound in the legendary Tsavo East. All of Africa’s “Big Five” species can be found at sister park Tsavo West, which is a mixture of lava beds and refreshing green springs. Then, with Mt. Kilimanjaro slashing into the clouds as our backdrop, we’ll safari on to “The Land of the Giants,” Amboseli Park. Watch as enormous families of huge elephants make their way to a drinking hole while marching in column beneath the famous mountain.
Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer to Tsavo East National Park
Your driver/guide will be waiting with your own 4 x 4 Safari Jeep at the designated pickup location, which might be a hotel, an airport, or any other location of your choosing, ready to start the journey. So jump in and let’s begin your journey through the Nairobi-Mombasa route on safari. You can start your safari ahead of schedule by using the binoculars and guidebooks that are given while travelling in your well-equipped Jeep. Your guide is also a never-ending source of knowledge on the area and its species. We will make stops along the way for refreshments and recuperation. Upon entering the park through the southern entrance, one is met with boundless plains that are devoid of vegetation yet abundant in fauna. Before lunch, we’ll most likely make a couple sightings.
After changing into new clothes and settling in for lunch among the park’s natural wonders, we’ll head to your lodging. After that, we’re going to go on a long game drive. Elephants may be seen rolling in the park’s crimson dirt on the vast, arid plains, smearing a light layer of rouge on their bodies. We’ll stop at a few watering places, like Mudanda Rock and the Aruba Dam, where the park’s parched residents go to cool off. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and share any particular requests you may have with your driver/guide during your 4-day tour. He will be pleased to answer them all. Day 2: Transfer to Tsavo West National Park
We get up early on safari to avoid missing anything and to rise alongside the birds and wildlife. As the first light appears on the savannah, we’ll set off to search for lions, buffalo, eland, impala, and elephants. Then we return to our resort or tented camp for breakfast. As we leave the park to get to its sister park, Tsavo West, we’ll do another game drive through it. You’ll notice that this park has different colors, it’s greener, with undulating hills and distinctive baobab trees.
A variety of species, including the endangered rhino, can be seen in the park. See whether we can spot these shy animals on a drive to the Nguilia Rhino Sanctuary. At Tsavo West, we’ll spend our second safari evening at the lodge or tented camp of your choosing.

Day 3: Transfer to Amboseli National Park
Another safari day means getting up early to see the animals waking in the soft light of the morning. Surprises like the palm-fringed oasis of Mzima Springs, nourished by thousands of gallons of pure water, are hidden among the park’s hills and old lava flows. The park’s thirsty fauna finds water in the spring, which is home to exotic fish and birds, hippos, and crocodiles. While strolling along the springs’ banks, we hope to see zebras, elephants, and other wildlife as they come to drink. It’s time to get back in the 4×4 and make the short journey across to Amboseli Park. As we get closer to the reserve, the majestic shape of Mount Kilimanjaro will serve as a gauge for our approach.
While having lunch at Amboseli, our third lodging, we will admire the majestic shape of the famous peak that watches over the southern view of the park. Next, it’s time to have a safari through this well-known park. Compared to the Tsavo parks, it is smaller, but this means there is more species to see. Elephants are easy to see, but we’ll also be keeping an eye out for cheetah, buffalo, zebra, gazelle, and lion. There will be a wide variety of animals to see at the park, including baboons, hyenas, foxes, jackals, and monkeys. The park is a great place to take pictures because of the majestic Kilimanjaro, which frames the elephants and other wildlife.
Don’t forget to bring extra film for your phone! Inquire with your guide about the optional excursion to a nearby Maasai hamlet for a different kind of Amboseli experience. You will be able to observe up close how the indigenous inhabitants of this region live and make a living during this cultural experience. The clouds that encircle the mountain’s summit frequently break in the evening, giving a breathtaking vista of the snow-capped pinnacle. We’ll take a break for dinner and spend the evening in your tented camp or safari lodge.

Day 4: Return to Nairobi – Departure
On our last safari day, let’s wake up early for one more pre-breakfast game drive. On safari, we operate in this manner. In order to locate any wildlife we might have missed, we’ll set out early in the morning. Perhaps clear, the snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro will reflect the gentle light of the sun. We’ll return to our lodging for breakfast while the surrounding natural wonders continue to astound us. Then, to see more of this unique location and to get a glimpse of the fauna and birdlife, it’s time for a mid-morning drive into the park. We’ll leave the park and head back to Nairobi by late afternoon, arriving in time to drop you off at your hotel, the airport, or any other location of your choosing.
